Stacking Mugs Design Inspired by " The Scholar's Playthings", De Chirico, 1917.

 

The Metaphysical art was a movement of dreamlike paintings with sharp contrast of light, distorted perspective, and objects in haunting, compressed spaces.This exercise interprets the style as a set of stacking mugs inspired by the surreal objects from this painting by De Chirico, including anatomical charts, drafting tools and mathematical instruments.
